LUBALINS OF POWER

Here's the work of Herb Lubalin, type god.

It's from the book Typerformance, 1983. The author is Roger Ferriter, instructor of "a very special class he has taught for over twenty years at The School of Visual Arts" and he includes a great deal of student work.

Lubalin's work was nonpareil. He was responsible for the logo for Smooooth N'Juicy, a bubble gum you can taste by looking at the label. It's rare when typography can induce synesthesia.
