JOEY'S WALKING TOUR OF NYC #18

One afternoon when my pal from Italy, Mario Alberti, was doing his own walking tour of NYC, he saw these and was taken aback. He thought these and New York's manholes only puffed smoke in the movies. Does anybody else think these were invented by Ridley Scott?
