DALEY NIGHTLY

I seldom go back to a topic so quickly, but I couldn't resist.

Bob Hope plays enfant terrible and genius film director "Orson Von Hope," and makes a fantastic star discovery in the studio commissary. (Coincidentally, "Orson" brings his pooch to dine with him. So did the real Orson Welles, or at least the elder statesman Welles did, as related in the book My Lunches With Orson: Conversations Between Henry Jaglom and Orson Welles, edited by Peter Biskind).

This clip is shot through with guest stars, especially at beginning and end. And if you think they break up a lot in the sketches on SNL and The Carol Burnett Show, in this skit, even the extras are cracking up behind the cast.

Once again, ladies and gentlemen, Cass Daley.
